How do your coats fit?

Everything is cut with room for a mid layer, so take your usual size. Each product page has a size guide with garment measurements, and our Size guide explains how to measure yourself.

What do the warmth ranges mean?

Every coat lists the temperature range it is comfortable in, worn over a mid layer such as a sweater, while you are moving at a normal walking pace. Standing still in wind will feel colder, so if you wait outside a lot, choose the warmer option.

Down or synthetic: which should I choose?

Down gives the most warmth for its weight and suits dry cold. Synthetic fill keeps working when it gets damp, so it is the better pick for wet, sleety winters. Every product page states which it uses and how much.

How much is shipping?

Standard tracked shipping is free on US orders of $150 or more, and $5.99 flat below that.

How long will my order take?

Orders placed before 5:00 PM ET on a business day begin processing the same day and are dispatched within 2 business days. Delivery then takes 3 to 6 business days. Full details are on our Shipping policy.

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery to return anything unworn, with the tags on. Email us with your order number to start a return. Return shipping on a change of mind is paid by the customer.

What does the one winter guarantee cover?

For 180 days from delivery, if a zip, seam, snap or baffle fails under normal wear, we repair it, replace it, or refund it. It does not cover accidental damage or normal wear and tear.

How do I wash my coat?

Most of our coats can be machine washed cold on a gentle cycle. Down pieces need a down-safe detergent and a low tumble dry with dryer balls to restore their loft. Each product page and the card in the box give the exact instructions.

Which payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Every payment is processed securely and we never see your full card details.
