From Confusion to Clarity: A Step-By-Step Guide to Starting a Business
I’ve explored various business ventures searching for the right fit. It’s been quite a ride with its fair share of ups and downs. Today, I’m going to share an opportunity that has been a game-changer for me. It might be the answer you’ve been seeking too.
The Skeptic’s Approach
If you’re like me, you approach opportunities with a dose of skepticism. You’re not one to jump in blindly; you ask questions and that’s a good thing. So, let’s delve into the questions I had….The business development and digital marketing courses with Master Resell Rights (or MRR).
Do Your Research
First things first, what exactly are you selling?
When you purchase the online course, you also receive the Master Resell Rights. This gives you permission to resell it and keep all the profit. It’s your course to own and market as you see fit. You can’t give it away for free (why would you?!?). And you can’t sell it for less than $497.
You might wonder “Why someone would allow others to sell their product?” This was my first big question.
In most cases, letting others resell your product isn’t practical. However, when it comes to online courses, it’s a different story. It’s a way for creators to earn from individuals they would normally pay as affiliates.
Typically, when someone develops an online course, they have affiliates promote it. The affiliate markets it for them on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and etc.
For anyone running a one-person operation, marketing on all these platforms can be difficult. Some prefer not to do it at all.
Instead of managing commissions/payouts for affiliates every month, they sell the course to them at the full price. Then the affiliate becomes responsible for marketing it. This strategy also attracts affiliates who wouldn’t usually promote your course.
Ensuring Quality
But how do you know if the course is worth selling? You’re taking the course yourself! You’re learning the material and you can vouch for its quality because you’re using it too.
When you resell the course you also have options. You can either keep it as is or add your personal touch. You can include additional lessons, add your personal style — it’s yours to tailor.
Avoiding Saturation
At this point, you might be wondering about the market becoming oversaturated with everyone selling the same course.
This was my biggest concern!
But this course is about starting a business and online marketing. Meaning it’s relevant not only for those planning to resell it but also:
Anyone looking to start a business (any business).
Business owners who need marketing help but don’t want to pay an agency.
Anyone who wants to understand how to market themselves better (*cough* writers/artists).
The potential market for this course is more significant than it initially seems.
No Pressure to Sell
Of course, you’re not obligated to sell the course if you don’t want to. The lessons are designed for anyone interested in starting a business…online or brick-and-mortar.
Some people start by selling the Master Resell Rights as practice using the lessons. They decide on their next steps as they work through the course.
Costs and Considerations
Now, the costs involved. The course itself is at $497.
But what about the expenses related to setting up a business?
Those costs will vary. They depend on the business name you choose. The domain name for your website has to be available and those prices depend on popularity. It will also depend on the features you want for your business.
Personally, saving money is a top priority. And the course is designed that way too. I opted for a cheap domain name but I did invest in the email address associated with the domain.
For instance, my business name is “Theawkwardexpert” and my email is “rachael@theawkwardexpert.” The total cost for these choices was $22.15 for one year.
I’m using a free basic website platform that they recommend and they teach a step-by-step setup.
There are a bunch of payment processing systems. Most of them take a percentage of your earnings so there are no upfront costs.
So outside of the initial cost of the course, I can run my business for one year at a total cost of $22.15.
The Reality Check
Now, let’s discuss the challenges and potential downsides. The truth is, it’s not easy. You can’t expect to make your first sale on day one or even within the first month.
Some individuals find their niche and audience quickly.
Others take more time. I fall into this category. I am about 2 weeks in and just figured out my niche.
Some already have a substantial online presence, while others are starting from scratch. I have never really used social media so I am starting at zero audience and having to learn everything about the platforms.
Learning a new skill will always involve trial and error though. And I actually find it fun. I’m certainly using a different kind of creativity.
The most challenging part, and it goes for all writers too, is keeping the right mindset and overcoming imposter syndrome.
Conclusion
So, that’s the business development and digital marketing course with Master Resell Rights. Anyone who wants to start a business can find all the information online for free. You don’t need to buy a course.
But if you are as disorganized as I am, it’s much more likely to happen if you take a course that gives you the A-to-Z.
This is something I will stick with. I am super passionate about helping as many people as I can live more fulfilling lives. And stop wasting their time on things that don’t make them happy. If that means escaping the corporate world this is a solid option.
This MRR can allow you to put your knowledge to work, make a difference, and take control of your journey. As I can personally attest, entrepreneurship isn’t a straight path!! But with the right tools and the right mindset you can do anything!
